We are a private investment and operations firm rooted right here in the Charlotte region. We don’t answer to a board of directors, and we aren't backed by a distant private equity fund; we are funded by personal capital and traditional small business lending.
Our focus is on acquiring established service and light industrial businesses where the owner has spent years building a reputation worth preserving. We aren’t here to reinvent your wheel or strip things down—we are here to step in as active stewards. When we acquire a business, we’re thinking in decades, not quarters. Our goal is to provide the steady, back-office leadership needed to ensure the company thrives for the next generation of employees and customers.
We are specifically looking for businesses with a long, proven history of serving the Charlotte metro area and surrounding counties like Cabarrus, Gaston, and Union. We gravitate toward essential service-based companies—the ones that keep our local economy moving every day.
Our ideal situation is an established business with a dedicated team already in place. We know that the real value of a service business is its people. We look for companies where we can rely on an existing manager or lead technicians to handle the field work, while we provide the capital, modern systems, and growth strategy to support them.
Selling your business is a deeply personal decision. Unlike large investment firms, we move at a human pace and speak plainly. Owners choose to talk to us because they know we are committed to keeping the business local, protecting the jobs of the people who built it, and honoring the legacy of the brand.
I am not a master mechanic, or an electrician and I won't pretend to be. My job as an owner is to make sure those crews have the best tools, a steady pipeline of work, a payroll that never bounces, and a boss who has their back.
I spent over 15 years in the corporate world leading strategy and marketing, but my heart has always been here in the Charlotte community. I started Orchard Group because I wanted to move away from the conference calls and focus on something tangible: the local businesses that make our neighborhoods work.
I've raised my family here in the Charlotte area, and I'm not going anywhere. Right now, I am actively looking for my flagship acquisition in this market. I am putting my own time, resources, and livelihood on the line to buy and run a great local business. My goal is simple—to be a "safe pair of hands" for your company. I'm looking to turn my expertise into ownership and I believe in doing business the right way, with total transparency and a deep respect for what you’ve built.
If you’re thinking about what’s next, I’d be honored to hear your story.

If you are considering a transition and want to ensure your business and employees are in good hands, let’s start a quiet, low-pressure conversation. I’m an open book about my background, my financing, and my plans. I’m always happy to grab a coffee and learn more about what you’ve built over the years.
